The farm has begun to change greatly in appearance due to the development of extensive plantings and also due to work undertaken with the soil grader. Deep furrows drawn using the grader allow young tree seedlings to be planted in a protected position away from strong winds. Annual crops such as peas are now planted within furrows in a place that naturally collects more rainwater greatly increasing their chances of success. Sturdy Steel Blade Built with a sturdy 1.8 metre steel blade, the grader has allowed me to smooth out uneven land, develop soil contours facilitating water runoff to desired areas, carry out weed control and also to cultivate soil as a makeshift plough. Hobby Farm Cultivator

The spring tyne cultivator has become a very handy implement on the farm. It is lightweight, easy to attach/remove from the tractor linkage points and easy to clean after use. It is designed for the control of light weed infestations and is not greatly impeded by rocks or stumps imbedded in the soil. The Versatile Farm Implement I have found other uses for the cultivator and now it serves as a platform for carting small quantities of water and also as a rake for the collection of mulch. This saves me the bother to remove the cultivator when a trailer is needed and also saves on money and storage space needed to house a wider range of implements. The range of available machinery is endless and only limited by one’s imagination and budget. Farming journals are usually crammed with advertisements, innovations and specials.
